DAY 7 – Faith (Imani) Trusting God in every season. As we begin a new year, we stand on faith. Even a small amount of trust in God can move mountains and bring hope in difficult times. Faith gives us the strength to trust God even in difficult times. Even faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains. Matthew 17:20 NIV He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”...

Day 6-Creativity/Kuumba: Using our gifts to uplift others. God calls us to grow and renew our minds. Creativity is using our God-given gifts to uplift our families, our youth, and our communities. Romans 12:2 NIV Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. This verse is a potent reminder that perfection is achieved through the renewing of the mind, set against high spiritual and ethical standards. DAY 4 – Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics) The Lord teaches us to share generously and do good. He is pleased when we do good and share with others. Generosity strengthens our families, churches, and communities. Hebrews 13:16 And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. As this Bible verse reflects, Christians are instructed to share their wealth and make sacrifices for others. At the macro level, this suggests that our economic system reflects principles, policies, and practices of “shared wealth,” and that we have a social safety net for those who are less fortunate...
Day 3 – December 28 Ujima (Collective Work & Responsibility)

Day 3 – December 28 Ujima Today’s principle reminds us that we need one another. God created us to work together and care for each other as one body in Christ. Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:21–25 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!”, 22 On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23 and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the unpresentable parts are treated with special modesty, 24 while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But...
